Mayfair Bangkok Marriott Executive Apartment Review

Hotel Review: Mayfair Bangkok Marriott Executive Apartments

Several months ago, my friends and I stayed in Mayfair Bangkok Marriott Executive Apartments. The serviced apartment is located along Langsuan Road and is a 9-minute walk away from Chit Lom BTS Station. Foodies would be delighted to hear that Asia’s best restaurant, Gaggan, is literally beside the Marriott property.

You are wrong if you think that staying at a Marriott property would be a wallet-damaging experience. You can actually score a suite at Marriott Executive Apartments Mayfair Bangkok from S$137 per night – and that works out to be only S$68.50 per person. Totally worth it, especially for a five-star reputable accommodation!

The Hotel Suite

Mayfair-Marriott-LangsuanThere are 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom suites available at Marriott Executive Apartments Mayfair Bangkok. We stayed in a 3-bedroom suite and it was perfect. Spanning across 131m², our suite was incredibly spacious and definitely way bigger than most hotel units in Bangkok’s city centre.

Our suite featured a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, living area, three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It was truly a home away from home. Free WIFI is available too.

Marriott Executive Apartments Mayfair Bangkok’s Facilities

Mayfair-Bangkok-Marriott-Executive-AptsThe condominium-hotel boasts an inviting rooftop bar, outdoor pool and a 24/7 gym. However, due to time constraints I never got to use their facilities… Unless drinking by the pool counts?

While the property is admittedly dated when compared to most other luxurious hotels, there was really nothing to complain about. I would totally recommend this hotel to those travelling with friends or family – and those who need heaps of space.

Strategic Location

Marriott Executive Apartments Mayfair Bangkok is within walking distance to the following shopping malls: Central ChidlomCentral Embassy and CentralWorld. Most importantly, you can also walk to Chit Lom BTS Station.

Even if you don’t intend to stay here, always make it a point to stay near a BTS Station. Sometimes the sky train is your only way out of Bangkok’s notorious congestion.

While Uber/Grab rates are considerably cheap in Bangkok, travellers should remember that the capital of Thailand has one of the worst traffic jams in the world.

Restaurants Nearby

From Indian, French to Thai cuisine, there are plenty of dining options nearby to cater to various budgets.

Le Boeuf LangsuanLe Boeuf — Bangkok’s first Parisian steakhouse sits right by the entrance of Marriott Executive Apartments Mayfair Bangkok. Their concept is simple: The fancy French restaurant serves the season’s best steak with their secret sauce and unlimited fries. It is said that the unique sauce is identical to the legendary Café de Paris in Geneva.

Gaggan — Asia’s best restaurant is conveniently located beside Mayfair Marriott Bangkok. Gaggan is world-famous for its progressive Indian cuisine and guests can look forward to 25 bite-size dishes. However, scoring a reservation is the tricky part. And with Gaggan set to close in 2020, bookings are getting increasingly tougher.

Crepes and Co Bangkok CafeCrepes & Co.  This pretty French restaurant has been wowing Bangkok’s expat crowd since 1996. As its name suggests, crepes are what they do best. From red velvet sweet crepes to savoury tom yum crepes, you will surely find something you fancy in their comprehensive menus. If you ain’t feeling crepes, the eatery also serves splendid brunch food i.e. eggs benedictine, fluffy pancake and scrambled egg.

Som Tam Nua — Som Tam Nua is an extremely popular Thai restaurant in Bangkok, but thankfully, the new outlet at Central Embassy remains largely under the radar. This means you get to skip the painful long wait (the queue at Siam Square is insane) and dig straight into their delicious papaya salad, fried chicken wings and crispy fish.

If you are looking for massage parlours, we recommend Langsuan Spa – only a 2-min walk from the hotel! Here is a quick map of the malls & restaurants near Mayfair Bangkok Marriott Executive Apartments:
